ABOUT THE ARTIST
I enjoy taking pictures because it gets me out into God's World. I shoot almost exclusively nature or outdoor photos. In the galleries you'll find pictures of mountains, lakes, streams, flowers, and wild animals from a number
of places in the United States and Canada. Some of our faviorite places include the Utah parks, Great Smoky Mountains, and the Canadian Rockies.
I enjoy sharing my pictures almost as much as I enjoy taking them. I've had a family web site TheSiggins.net for a number of years just to share pictures with friemds and family. After a while
these friends and family encouraged me to print some of the best and offer them for sale. This website is the result of that encouragement. I've selected the best and my favorite photos from the
hundreds on the family website for sale here. I am thrilled when people get prints to hang in their homes.
Since getting more serious about photography in 2007, I have won several awards in local photo contests, including Appalachian Photography Salon and the Kingsport Harvest Fare Photo Contest.
In June 2008, Pyramid Lake won first place in the Appalachian Photography Salon.
What makes nature photography so easy is God has already created the beauty, I'm just there to capture it and share with others. Photography has led me to appreciate the glory of massive mountains and glaciers
as well as the beauty of delicate flowers and insects. I tend to stop and appreciate things I would have passed by and never noticed in the past.
